(I am glad you asked that question.) It is a presentation of the story of Passion Week…as told by the apostles and women-disciples, who experienced it firsthand. These eyewitnesses will lead small (audience) groups through their stories as they take them through the streets of Jerusalem, past Roman soldiers, to places such as the Upper Room, Calvary, and the empty tomb. To make this presentation, we need men and women to become the apostles and women-disciples, and youth to become the witnesses of Palm Sunday. Besides actors, we need organizers, artists, and craftsmen. We need others who will transform Finley Hall into the rooms, streets and marketplace of Jerusalem, and others, still, to prepare flyers, programs, and advertisements. We need promoters who will go out into the highways and byways to bring in an audience, directors to listen and critique the actors/scripts, make-up artists, and costumers who will transform 21st century people into 1st century people. Finally, we need ‘hospitable souls’ to welcome everyone to our extended parish in our own special way. There are many ways to participate and make this a Lent to remember. Don’t miss this remarkable opportunity to deepen your love for Christ…as the Parish Family.
An organizational meeting will be held in Finley Hall next Saturday, February 16 at 7:00 pm. If you are unable to attend our organizational meeting on February 16 but would like to help or get more information, call the St. Francis office at 724-348-7145 or Joanne Mansmann at 724-348-7296 (please leave a message) or go on Realm and join our “Journey to Jerusalem” group..
